What is Physical Therapy?

Physical therapy focuses on the treatment of injuries and conditions through therapeutic exercise and specialized interventions. It aims to improve range of motion, posture, strength, endurance, balance, coordination, joint mobility, and flexibility while also alleviating pain. These elements are integrated to help patients regain their ability to perform daily activities and enhance overall function. Physical therapy plays a crucial role in the recovery process for many injuries, illnesses, and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Yes, a doctor’s referral is required if you plan to use your health insurance benefits, for physical therapy. Your provider must fax the referral directly to our office before scheduling your appointment.

Note: Cash-based services do not require a referral.

We accept the following insurance plans:

HMSA, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Medicare Original, TriWest, TriCare, UHA, HMAA, AlohaCare, UnitedHealthcare (UHC), and Workers’ Compensation.

If your insurance provider is not listed, feel free to call our office to inquire about coverage.

Please note: We no longer accept Medicaid/Quest and Ohana WellCare.

Once we receive your referral, we will verify your insurance eligibility and determine any out-of-pocket costs for outpatient physical therapy services, including annual deductibles, co-insurance, or co-pays.

After your insurance has been processed and costs are calculated, we will contact you for scheduling within 5 business days of receiving your referral.

Please note: Insurance verification provides an estimate of coverage and patient responsibility. Depending on insurance processing and reimbursement, additional costs may be passed on to the patient beyond the initial estimate. Patients are responsible for any outstanding balances not covered by their insurance.

Our current wait time is approximately 3 months.

We offer emergency intake appointments for post-surgical patients who require immediate care under strict surgeon’s orders.

If you would like to be seen sooner, you have the option to schedule a cash-based service with one of our licensed therapists. Cash-based services offer significantly faster availability—typically within 1 to 2 weeks with no referral required. For more details, please see the Services tab of our website.

You may also request to be added to our cancellation waitlist, which provides the opportunity to be seen sooner if an earlier appointment becomes available.

Each session is tailored to your specific needs. We work as a collaborative team, so your treatment may involve one or two licensed therapists working together to provide the best possible care. your therapist will assess your condition and determine the most appropriate treatments, which may include:

  • Exercise Therapy – Balance, strengthening, stabilization, and functional movement training
  • Manual Therapy – Soft tissue and joint mobilization to improve mobility and reduce pain
  • Therapeutic Modalities – Traction, electrical stimulation (E-Stim), ultrasound, cupping, kinesiology taping, and more, as needed
  • Patient Education – Guidance on body mechanics, ergonomics, sleeping positions, and safe movement techniques
  • Home Exercise Program (HEP) – Customized exercises to support your recovery and maintain progress between sessions

Our team-based approach ensure you receive well-rounded, comprehensive care tailored to your goals.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement. For patients using heavy equipment during rehab, closed-toe shoes are required for safety.
Yes, we accept pediatric patients between the ages of 8-17.
No, our facility does not currently offer aqua therapy services. 
As of 2021, massage therapists renting space in this facility are no longer accepting new clients.
